What are cookies ?

What type of cookies are used on this website?


Cookies, depending on their permanence, can be divided into session or permanent Cookies. The first ones expire when the user closes the browser. The latter expire when the purpose for which they are used is fulfilled (for example, so that the pages are always shown in the same language) or when they are deleted manually.


Additionally, depending on their purpose, Cookies can be sorted as follows:
 

  1. Necessary Cookies (techniques): Are those that allow the user to navigate through a web page, platform or application and the use of the different options or services that exist in it, such as, for example, controlling traffic and data communication, identifying the session, accessing parts of restricted access, remembering the elements that make up an order, carrying out the purchase process of an order, making the application for registration or participation in an event, using security elements during navigation, storing content for the dissemination of videos or sound or sharing content through social networks.
     
  2. Personalization and registration cookies:
                                                
    • Personalization Cookies: These are those that allow the user to access the service with some general characteristics predefined according to some user´s terminal criterias, such us, for example, the language, the type of browser through which the service is accessed, the regional configuration from which the service is accessed, etc.
       
    • Registration Cookies: Registration Cookies are generated once the User has registered or has subsequently opened his session, and are used to identify him on the websites and services with the following objectives:
      • Keep the user identified so that, if you close a service or web, the browser or computer and at some other time or another day re-enter the service or web, will remain identified, thus facilitating navigation without having to re-identify. This functionality can be deleted if the user clicks the "Exit" functionality, so that this Cookie is deleted and the next time you enter the website the user will have to log in to be identified.
      • Check if the user is authorized to access certain services, for example, access to the area of registered users.
      • Additionally, some services may use third party connectors such as Facebook, Twitter or Google. When the user registers in a service with the credentials of a social network or third-party identification system, it authorizes the user to store a persistent cookie that remembers his identity and guarantees him access to the web until it expires. The user can delete this cookie and revoke access to the site through social networks or third-party identification system by updating their preferences in the social network that specific.
         
  3. Performance and Analytics Cookies: Each time a User visits a Web site or Service, a tool from an external provider (Google Analytics and similar) generates an analytical cookie on the user's device. This cookie, which is only generated during the visit, will be used for future visits to anonymously identify the visitor. The main objetives are:
    • To allow the anonymous identification of the navigating users through the "Cookie" (it identifies navigators and devices, not people) and therefore the approximate accounting of the number of visitors and its tendency in the time.
    • Identify anonymously the most visited content and therefore more attractive to users
    • Know if the user that is accessing is new or repeats visit.
       
  4. Advertising and Social Media Cookies: Advertising cookies are used to track visitors to different websites. The intention is to display ads that are relevant and appealing to the individual user. In particular, it records data from browsers and devices.
