It all started ...

The inaugural trip of this new route was made on November 9, 2018, starting from the port of Huelva, Andalusia, to the Canary Islands. This new service was made possible thanks to the union between Fred. Olsen Express and Baleària, in which both shipping companies, through the Canary Bridge Seaways (CBS) project, made a commitment to offer an integral, reliable and quality service, uniting the Islands and Huelva in an unprecedented connection.

The challenge...

Fred. Olsen Express faced the start of this new route with great energy and enthusiasm, considering the service as a great opportunity to improve the connections, transport and business options of the Islands with the Spanish mainland.

The route...

The initial route was established as a triangular connection between the port of Huelva and the main ports of the two capital islands: the port of La Luz in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The schedules of the new service guaranteed the connections with the rest of the lines of the interisland traffic, providing an integral service to their clients in the Canary Islands.
