More than one million passengers and 16,000 pets have chosen the Trimaran Route of Fred. Olsen Express, which links Agaete and Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in its first year. This route is characterized by its comfort, thanks to the stability with which these trimarans sail, as well as its speed. Specifically, one of the aspects most valued by passengers is its punctuality, with 97.10% of the trips arriving on time or even ahead of schedule.
The Trimaran Route stands out for its energy efficiency, smoothness and stability during navigation, thanks to the incorporation of the new generation trimarans Bajamar Express and Bañaderos Express. These vessels are considered the most sophisticated at international level, as they are characterized by an innovative technology that allows them to adapt navigation to weather conditions.
During these first 12 months, the trimarans on the route have made 4,790 trips, covering a total of 172,242 nautical miles (319,418 km) between the two islands, offering an optimal travel experience and a service of maximum comfort.
The Trimaran Route vessels have also carried a total of 381,600 vehicles and 462,700 cargo units in this first year.
Celebrating the first anniversary of the Trimaran Route, Fred. Olsen Express offers a special promotion, between October 26 and November 2, with up to 30% discount and the option to accumulate triple Plus points with the company's loyalty system on tickets purchased to travel between Gran Canaria - Tenerife. Travelers taking advantage of this promotion will be able to enjoy the trip between the capital islands from November 15 to January 31, except for high occupancy schedules.
